Grinnell Post 53 Foccht Tenant was founded in 1919 and continues to serve the Grinnell community to this day.  Grinnell Legionnaires assist local Veterans in receiving their benefits, provide Veterans support, represent the Legion at community events and host Memorial & Veterans Day activities.  The Grinnell American Legion has a long history of supporting the Iowa Boys State, sending 1-2 Delegates a year, fully paid by Post 53.  Legionnaires provide ceremonial details when needed, both with Color Guard and Rifle Squad activities.  In short, the Grinnell American Legion is here to support local Veterans and the local community.
